After 10th standard students are supposed to choose between the following main and optional subjects.
Following are the main subjects offered:
PCM
PCM stands for a group of subjects. PCM means – physics, chemistry and mathematics.
A student having PCM in 12th standard can pursue his/her further studies in engineering & technology, pharmacy, architecture, law, management, fashion, textile, social work, library science and all art and humanities group fields.
PCB
Subjects such as physics, chemistry and biology (PCB) are required for students aspiring to take up careers in medicine or dental studies, biochemistry, biotechnology, microbiology, agricultural and dairy science.
Commerce
Commerce as a stream of education can be defined as a study of trade and business activities such as the exchange of goods and services from producer to final consumer. The main subjects that are taught in the Commerce stream in Class 11 and 12 include Economics, Accountancy and Business studies.
